The Brown v Board of Education was a Supreme Court case that ended racial segregation in public schools.  This was seemingly a major win for African Americans as they believed equal treatment would finally be given. However, this was far from the truth.  Many African American students were placed in Special Education and "lower learning" classes because they did not pass a standardize test created by  White Americans.   Therefore, the racial discrimination has been a problem for over 60 years.  Listen to an interview conducted by myself with a woman who witnessed first hand the negative effect integration had on her self and other Black students.  **note, interview begins at the 15 second mark**
